What the figures on this site mean, what nothing on it is, and the fact that the practice described here does not exist.

This is a demonstration site for a fictional practice

Woodside Physical Therapy, LLC does not exist. The clinic, its five therapists, their histories, its prices and its premises are all invented, and this website was built as a showcase of what can be designed, provisioned, deployed and hosted through MaiaHost.

Every telephone number on the site is the placeholder 000-000-0000. The licence number is a placeholder for the same reason and it is a more deliberate one: a New York State Education Department physical therapist licence is a real, checkable public record belonging to a real, named person, and inventing a plausible one would attach a fictional clinic to a stranger's credential.

For the same reason no board certifications are claimed anywhere on this site. OCS, SCS, NCS, WCS and GCS are real credentials held by real people on a public register.

No appointment booked through this site reaches a physical therapist. No telephone number here reaches anybody. The booking application and the contact form are both genuinely running, which means they genuinely store what you type — so please do not enter real medical information.

Nothing on this site is medical advice

The pages here describe conditions, treatments, New York law and how physical therapy practice works in general. None of it is advice about you. No page on this site diagnoses anything, and nothing written here is a substitute for being examined by a licensed clinician.

Where a page describes what would make a clinician stop and refer somebody to a physician — the red-flag lists on several pages — those are included because they are useful to know and not because reading them is a substitute for medical assessment. If any of them describes you, see a physician rather than a website.

The visit ranges are estimates, not promises

Every condition page publishes a typical number of visits. That is an estimate of a typical course and it is not a promise about yours. It is published before you make contact because an open-ended plan of care is how treatment becomes a subscription, and knowing the usual shape of a course is genuinely useful — but individual recovery varies enormously and any honest clinician will tell you so.

The prices on the pricing page are self-pay rates for the fictional practice. What a real patient pays under insurance depends entirely on their plan.

The legal and clinical statements are real

This is worth saying because everything else on the page is not. The New York statutes, regulations and clinical guidelines described on this site are genuine: the direct access rule in Education Law 6731, the scope-of-practice position on dry needling, the supervision rules for assistants and aides, Medicare's eight-minute rule and therapy threshold, the Workers' Compensation Medical Treatment Guidelines, and the WHO, NICE and Cochrane conclusions on therapeutic ultrasound.

They are described as accurately as we can manage and they are not legal advice either. Rules change. If a decision turns on one of them, check it against the source rather than against a demonstration website.

Using this site

You may read it, print it and link to it. The design, the copy and the generated imagery belong to the people who built it. Do not use the booking application to send unsolicited email to other people — it is rate-limited and logged specifically to make that unrewarding.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. Because the business it describes does not exist, no service is being offered through it and no relationship of any kind — clinical, contractual or otherwise — is created by using it.

Sixty minutes, one to one, with the therapist you chose

Book an appointment

The booking page shows each therapist's own diary rather than a generic grid, so a slot you can see is a slot that is genuinely free. Most people do not need a doctor's referral to start — New York's direct access law runs to ten visits or thirty days — though Workers' Compensation, No-Fault and Medicare each need one from the first visit. If you are not sure which of those you are, telephone and we will work it out before you book.
